Dr. Matthias Egger
Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Matthias Egger is a Swiss ocean scientist turned entrepreneur. His work focuses on understanding how complex environmental systems evolve and how they can be steered toward better outcomes. With a background spanning academia, applied research, and entrepreneurship, he brings a systems perspective to some of the most challenging environmental and societal questions.
He holds a PhD in marine biogeochemistry and continues to contribute to peer reviewed research and international collaborations. Guided by a commitment to clarity over complexity, he connects scientific insight with decision making.
Stella van den Berg
Co-Founder & Impact Innovation Lead
Stella van den Berg is a sustainability and innovation strategist with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations turn ambition into measurable impact. With a background in Industrial Design Engineering and experience across corporate and non profit sectors, she understands how strategy, design, and innovation come together to create value for people, planet, and performance. Through her expertise in impact strategy, product and service innovation, and sustainability storytelling, she translates complex challenges into tangible outcomes that drive lasting change.
Monty Simus
Senior Advisor
Montgomery (Monty) Simus is an experienced global leader with a background in climate finance, policy, and institutional engagement with governments, international organizations, development banks, and NGOs. He has led transformative efforts to build innovative financial partnerships spanning both private and public sectors, activate citizen engagement, and implement data-driven policies that address environmental challenges on a global scale. His work includes coordinating representation at UN and other high-level climate compacts, bringing together diverse stakeholders to advance practical, collaborative solutions for a sustainable future.
Dr. Davide Ciccarese
Strategic Advisor
Dr. Davide Ciccarese is a climate and sustainability strategist with experience across scientific research, climate technology, and corporate sustainability. He specializes in connecting scientific evidence with practical implementation, helping organizations develop scalable solutions that create both environmental and business value. With a PhD in Environmental Sciences from ETH Zurich, postdoctoral research experience at MIT, and leadership experience in greenhouse gas mitigation and decarbonization initiatives at Nestlé R&D, he brings a unique perspective at the intersection of science, innovation, and implementation.
